Young Life For Life Porters Park Golf Day 2017

Young Fight For Life have cracked it again with another fabulous event hosted at Porters Park Golf Club in Radlett!

100 golfers pitched up for the day this week to help us raise money for the new Proton Centre at the UCLH.  The weather was overcast, windy but mild and the rain held off. The field was full with 25 buggies, specially bought in for the day to help those golfers of a less athletic disposition zip up and down the hills and dales of Porters Park. Appetites were more than satisfied after a full English breakfast, with refreshment buggies stuffed with smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, chocolates and mini shots for those feeling the October chill! ‘GD Score’ added an extra element of excitement to the day with electronic scoring and leaderboards helping to inspire our challenged supporters score big time! Golf was followed by a fabulous calvary lunch and an amazing auction and prize giving. It was a long day from 0630 for the committee through to 1700, BUT we managed to make a net profit of over £27,000 for the fund, so well worth while!
