The Fight For Life Family Fun Day at
David Lloyd Club Bushey, Herts.

The concept of the Family Fun Day at David Lloyd came about over a glass of wine at a tennis club night. Several of the members expressed their interest in organising a tournament in aid of Fight for Life and the successful formula was conceived.
Following on from last year's amazing success David Lloyd Bushey was once again the venue. Not only did we have our main event - the Mixed Doubles Tournament but this year we had a family Runathon around the club too, Kindly organised by Celia of David Lloyd.
There was loads of family entertainment whilst the tournament was on. Face painters, tattoo artists, bouncy castles and a Wii tournament run by Harry Boyne. With non-stop food and drink for the tennis players provided by the club.
The tennis tournament had 72 entrants and was organised into teams of four. The teams played for almost three hours and the closely contested final was won by Jonathan Rose, Beatrice Raedelli, Antoine Christoforou, and Emma Pollard.
Tom Law (Peter Beale in Eastenders) continued his fantastic support of the charity and came along to draw the raffle.
The day raised in excess of £12000 for the charity - our grateful thanks to David Lloyd and to Rochelle Boyne for her fantastic organisation.
Half Marathon!

On the same day, Paul and Bonnie Siviter ran a half marathon in aid of Fight for Life - they raised over £400 towards the day's proceeds.
Well done and thanks to both of you.
